At the start of 2021 I took time in prayer and fasting for the year ahead. As I spent time with the Lord he kept impressing upon me the same verses over and over again. The word I am giving now is not my word for the year but I felt this word was time sensitive to mid January 2021. I will link my 2021 word HERE. As I was in prayer over our nation I kept asking the Lord for a verse pertaining to the U.S specifically in reference to investing money this year. He gave me Jeremiah 8:13 ““ ‘I will take away their harvest, declares the Lord. There will be no grapes on the vine. There will be no figs on the tree, and their leaves will wither. What I have given them will be taken from them. ’ ” The verse describes a season of difficulty and lack. I feel this is speaking to the wealth of the country as a whole.
It is difficult to hear this verse knowing what it will mean for this nation. The Lord has given me many words that culminate to the overthrowing of the U.S and a huge shift in world powers. From an honest place these words have not been easy for me to give. It comes much more natural for me to speak life, potential, hope, and peace into situations. The Lord has been very direct with me to just speak from the scroll as I see and hear it. When hearing these words in the natural it sounds quite bizarre. However when we examine them next to Gods word the Lord brings clarity. The Lord reminded me of Daniel Ch.7. In this chapter it starts out sounded absolutely off the walls, talking about 4 beasts that sound like mythical creatures with wings.
However as the Lord brings revelation it all begins to make sense. He explains that the 4 beasts represent 4 kings. Daniel 7 talks all about powerful kings and kingdoms but they are each over thrown and the only kingdom standing is the everlasting kingdom of God. When we read this chapter unaware of what king or which kingdom the scripture is talking about it seems like a far off concept. When God begins to highlight certain nations or countries that we know of as kingdoms that will be overthrown it feels strange and separated from the scripture.
As I continued to meditate on Jeremiah 8 the Lord began to speak from Jeremiah 11 and Jeremiah 32. Jeremiah 11 is titled ” The Covenant Broken”. In this chapter God is giving Jeremiah a message to the people. He is saying that the Israelites have returned to the sins of their ancestors and worshiped other Gods. The repercussions for the sin was spoken of in Jeremiah 11:11 “Therefore this is what the Lord says: ‘I will bring on them a disaster they cannot escape. Although they cry out to me, I will not listen to them.” Lastly Jeremiah 32:24 “See how the siege ramps are built up to take the city. Because of the sword, famine and plague, the city will be given into the hands of the Babylonians who are attacking it. What you said has happened, as you now see.

The common themes are covenants that are broken due to idolatry and destruction that follows. I long for peace over my nation of the United States of America. I want to declare peace and pray for a better outcome. The Lord told me Jeremiah 6:14 “They dress the wound of my people as though it were not serious. ‘Peace, peace,’ they say, when there is no peace.” The wounds of this nation are too deep and there is a reckoning that will take place.
What does this all mean for Gods people? I believe God is continually calling and drawing his people to himself. His goal is always restoration, wholeness and completion. Just like in the book of acts the church thrived under difficult circumstances. I think God is looking for hearts of repentance and humility. I also believe God is calling us to keep living. Similarly to how the Israelites were taken captive to Babylon and God told them to plant gardens, get married and continue life I believe God is speaking the same message. What we are entering will be difficult but even under harsh conditions I believe Gods people will continue to thrive, I believe the kingdom will rapidly advance and the light always shines brighter than the darkness.
Philippians 4:12-13
12 I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. 13 I can do all this through him who gives me strength.
