When we entered into 2020 the Lord told me we were entering into a Daniel era. In the same breath he also said 2020 would be a golden year. When I asked him further what a Daniel era meant he said a disassociated or disillusioned era. John Montgomery wrote in “Psychology Today” that, “Disassociation is a survival mechanism for high intensity emotions from which the brain has to disconnect. Disconnection is a flight response—rather than physically running or fleeing the mind goes elsewhere to numb and separate ourselves from what is happening to avoid feeling threatened or unsafe. We numb or completely separate ourselves from what is happening – it is a mental escape not a physical escape.”
What exactly does a Daniel Era mean for us and why is God specifically calling this era a Daniel Era. I believe through this name the Lord is setting the stage and showing us how we can posture our hearts in this season. Daniel and the Jewish people were taken captive in 536 B.C by the Babylonians. The book of Daniel is an account of how Daniel held fast to the Lord even amidst captivity and exile. He is best recognized for his extreme devotion to the Lord and because of his faith he properly shows how the Lord was sovereign to his people in their exile. In many dreams the Lord has shown me that the U.S is entering into a time of exile and the Lord exact words was Babylon. We are on the brink of major world shift in power and the U.S will be dethroned in this season and come under the “influence” of another “power”. Just as Daniel had to navigate life in exile the Lord is also preparing this nation to enter into an exile.
I saw an image from the movie Shrek when there is the rickety bridge over the lava that leads to the castle where the beautiful princess is kept in captivity. I saw people wearing blindfolds and their guides helping them cross the rickety bridge also wearing blindfolds. The lord said in this era my people need to be completely awake other wise it will be like the blind leading the blind and they wills surely fall into a pit. Then I saw a people with blindfolds off and they were crossing at the same point except they had mounted up on wings like eagles. They were not taking the bridge at all, they were flying to the other side. Our trust and our hope in the Lord enables us to mount up on wings like eagles in Isaiah 40. This is what I believe the lord is calling his people or anyone who calls on his name in this era. For he waits patiently because he does not want ANYONE to perish. During this time of trial the lord is dismantling self-reliance.
The Lord is giving us a glimpse into what we are about to encounter. How can we get in alignment with what he is doing and position ourselves properly to be most effective for him? As we enter into this new era there are 3 keys I believe the Lord wants us to focus on to make sure we remain awake and of sober minds. 1.Holding fast or yielding 2.resting in god’s sovereignty and 3. Shedding comfortable mindsets and resisting to follow the “status quo”. When we hold fast and stand firm in the lord we are trusting in his goodness and love for us.
For those who are awake The Lord is raising up his prophets to move and live like Daniel. The Lord has been showing me many parallels to the book of Daniel and what will be taking place specifically in the U.S. God is granting favor among God’s people in governmental spheres. Just as Daniel had favor among King Nebuchadnezzar God is granting the same access to his people. Daniel 2:48-49 8 “Then the king placed Daniel in a high position and lavished many gifts on him. He made him ruler over the entire province of Babylon and placed him in charge of all its wise men. 49 Moreover, at Daniel’s request the king appointed Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego administrators over the province of Babylon, while Daniel himself remained at the royal court.”
He is not only giving people favor in governmental spheres but he is also pouring out financial blessing in 2020. This is why I saw 2020 as a golden year, that even amid war and rumors of war God’s people will continue to thrive. He is giving his people new revelations on how to create wealth and is allowing them to step into new ideas that have never been done before. He is using even the challenges in the economy to elevate and position his people to take control in their respected sectors. As the economy and many other people face turmoil I see a covering over God’s people and a thriving like in a green house they will be unaffected by the elements and continue grow rapidly.
The Lord is speaking right now in 2020 that this moment in time is a very important time of positioning for the next 5 years. Over the course of the next 5 years I heard the lord say remotely. It will be important to find work that can be done REMOTELY or online and even so if possible to create businesses. 2020 is a year of creating and entrepreneurship. This is very important because of what the Lord is speaking what will happen for the U.S Nation. The lord asked me to write this post as the first entry to set the tone and explain how we can posture our hearts. Being awake is the first step and absolutely necessary to be able to hear what the lord is doing. As 1 Thessalonians 5:1-10 describes,
1 Thessalonians 5:1-10 “Now, brothers and sisters, about times and dates we do not need to write to you, 2 for you know very well that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night. 3 While people are saying, “Peace and safety,” destruction will come on them suddenly, as labor pains on a pregnant woman, and they will not escape.4 But you, brothers and sisters, are not in darkness so that this day should surprise you like a thief. 5 You are all children of the light and children of the day. We do not belong to the night or to the darkness. 6 So then, let us not be like others, who are asleep, but let us be awake and sober. 7 For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk, get drunk at night. 8 But since we belong to the day, let us be sober, putting on faith and love as a breastplate, and the hope of salvation as a helmet. 9 For God did not appoint us to suffer wrath but to receive salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ. 10 He died for us so that, whether we are awake or asleep, we may live together with him. 11 Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.”
Mark 1:17-19 Jesus commands just that “Aware of their discussion, Jesus asked them: “Why are you talking about having no bread? Do you still not see or understand? Are your hearts hardened? 18 Do you have eyes but fail to see, and ears but fail to hear? And don’t you remember?”
Daniel 2:20-21 “Praise be to the name of God for ever and ever; wisdom and power are his.21 He changes times and seasons; he deposes kings and raises up others. He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to the discerning.22 He reveals deep and hidden things; he knows what lies in darkness, and light dwells with him.23 I thank and praise you, God of my ancestors: You have given me wisdom and power, you have made known to me what we asked of you, you have made known to us the dream of the king.”
